1 კოგნიტიურ ნეირომეცნიერებათა ინსტიტუტი
2 კოგნიტიურ ნეირომეცნიერებათა ინსტიტუტი, როგორც ინტერდისციპლინური კვლევითი ერთეული, 2012 წელს ცოდნის ფონდის დაფინასებით დაარსდა. ინსტიტუტის სამეცნიერო ჯგუფი წარმოდგენილია ახალგაზრდა მეცნიერებით, რომლებსაც აქვთ დასავლეთის უნივერსიტეტებში მუშაობის გამოცდილება და დღემდე ინარჩუნებენ კოლაბორაციას უცხოელ კოლეგებთან. ინსტიტუტში სამეცნიერო კვლევები სხვადასხვა მიმართულებით ხორციელდება. მიმდინარე კვლევები ეხება აღქმისა და კოგნიტიური ფუნქციების ცვლილებების შესწავლას ხანდაზმულობისას, სხვადასხვა ფსიქიკური აშლილობებისას (შიზოფრენია და დეპრესია) და ალკოჰოლის და ნიკოტინის ზემოქმედებისას. აღქმისა და კოგნიტიური ფუნქციების შეფასება ხდება სხვადასხვა ფსიქოფიზიკური პარადიგმების, ქცევითი ამოცანების და ელექტროენცეფალოგრაფიის მეთოდის გამოყენებით. ინსტიტუტი აღჭურვილია თანამედროვე ტექნიკით, რაც აუცილებელია როგორც ქცევითი, ასევე ნეიროფიზიოლოგიური კვლევების ჩასატარებლად.
